Referrals

A consultation is required for all new referrals and ongoing referrals unless previously arranged with the doctor. Referrals will not be backdated as this is against government regulations. A fee may be charged for replacement referrals.

Repeat Pathology Requests and Prescriptions

If you require a repeat pathology or radiology form, or a repeat prescription, without a consultation, this may incur an administration fee.

Consultations are always required for prescriptions for drugs of dependency (eg. narcotics). A consultation is required for repeat prescriptions unless previously agreed by the doctor. For example, when your 6 month script runs out you are due for a blood pressure check.

If the doctor doesn't require you to come in a $10.00 administration fee will be charged for these requests. Any prescriptions not requiring a consultation will be available within 48 hours of request.

Reminders

This practice operates a recall and reminder system that includes pathology and radiology results, immunizations, pap smears and other preventative health issues. All patients will be included in this recall system unless you advise practice staff otherwise.
